At Bike Legal, we are passionate about giving back to the cycling community. That’s why we launched the Bike Legal Junior Cycling Grant Program, a unique initiative designed to support young cyclists across the United States. Through this grant for youth cycling program, we aim to break down financial barriers and empower youth cyclists to pursue their passion for cycling.

Here’s everything you need to know about this exciting opportunity, how to apply, and how to help us spread the word.

Why We Started the Bike Legal Junior Cycling Grant Program

Bicycling has the power to transform lives—it builds character, fosters discipline, and encourages a healthy lifestyle. However, the costs associated with competitive bicycling can be overwhelming for many families.

Financial challenges can prevent young riders from reaching their full potential, from purchasing bikes to covering race fees and training expenses.

The Bike Legal Junior Cycling Grant's mission is to ease this burden by providing resources and financial support for junior cyclists who are passionate about the sport but may lack the resources to participate fully.

Our mission is simple: to build a stronger, more inclusive cycling community by supporting the next generation of athletes. We are committed to making cycling more accessible for all junior cyclists.

2024 Initial Program Success

The Bike Legal Junior Cycling Grant Program was officially launched on December 1, 2023, with the first application window ending on November 1, 2024.

During this initial year, we awarded 12 grants ranging from $150 to $500 each to young cyclists across the country.

These grants provided much-needed support for expenses like bikes, cycling gear, race fees, and training costs.

The success of the 2024 program inspired us to expand and improve the initiative for 2025.
