AARON TILLMANN

Aaron Tillmann grew up in and around the mountains and rivers of Utah and the Western United States. He is the oldest of five children and has a son who lives in Idaho. Aaron attended college at Southern Utah University, where he was introduced to mountain biking. After college, he attended law school at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, and began road cycling. Aaron finished his legal education with a legal master’s from Boston University.

Before practicing in Portland, Oregon, Aaron practiced law in Utah since 2006. From 2006 until 2015, he practiced Corporate Law and Estate and Trust Law. In 2015, Aaron’s mother passed away from complications after surgery, resulting from a lifelong illness that was due to an auto collision the previous year. He saw firsthand the devastation that can result from another's negligence and how it impacts a family. Since then, Aaron has focused 100% of his career on being a civil plaintiff attorney and helping those who have been hurt by others.

Aaron is the founder and managing partner of Tillmann Law in Portland, Oregon. He is also licensed in Utah and Idaho and assists clients in State and Federal Cases in all three states. His office staff is dedicated to helping those in need, has extensive experience working in the insurance industry, and understands the insurance company’s inner workings.

Aaron has been involved in cycling his entire adult life. Some of his fondest memories are riding with friends at Levi Leipheimer’s King Ridge Gran Fondo in Northern California, taking his son to watch the Tour of Utah, and meeting Bob Roll and getting pictures with him at the Snowbird Ski Resort. Aaron has passed the cycling bug to his son, an avid mountain biker who competes in high school mountain biking races in both Idaho and Washington State.

Aaron has had his share of experiences with road cycling and understands the dangers involved with our sport and the need for advocacy to keep us all safe and keep the rubber on the road. He has been involved with numerous cycling cases. Aaron has seen first-hand the devastation that can happen when drivers don’t pay attention on the road or intentionally target cyclists on the streets. That is why it is so important for drivers to understand that they must share the road for everyone’s safety and for cyclists to have someone in their corner who understands those dangers and can advocate for justice.

While the main office is in Portland, Oregon, one of the most bike-friendly cities in America, Aaron continues to assist his clients and their friends and families in Idaho and Utah as well. When he is not working or cycling, he enjoys getting outside. Aaron is an avid snow skier, loves to fish, hikes in National Parks, and does pretty much anything that involves the outdoors.

Aaron currently owns four bikes: a commuter, a mountain bike, and two road bikes. While he owns only four bikes, Aaron is working to increase his number as quickly as possible.
