Each year, retired professional cyclist Phil Gaimon hosts his signature Cookie Fondo to showcase the natural beauty of the Los Angeles and Malibu regions – and raise money for important charities. In 2018, the Phil Gaimon Cookie Fondo raised over $45,000 for No Kid Hungry. This year, the team plans on reaching over $100,000 in funding for the same organization, which would be equivalent to 1 total million meals for children in need of food assistance.
Although not every member of our team at Bike Legal is a bicyclist, many of our attorneys participate in major cycling events like Phil’s Cookie Fondo. This October, we’re excited to announce that our law firm will be the exclusive legal partner of the Cookie Fondo, with the hope of helping them reach their goal of $100,000 in donations.
What Is the Phil Gaimon Cookie Fondo?
The Phil Gaimon Cookie Fondo is a two-day long biking event that will take place in Agoura Hills from Saturday, October 26th to Sunday, October 27th. Offering affordable packages for bike riders of all ability levels, the Cookie Fondo will include supported cycling routes, sponsor swag bags, fully-stocked aid stations, and post-ride meals by celebrity chefs. Most importantly of all, there will be plenty of gourmet cookies available throughout the event, created by some of the best bakers in Los Angeles.
Committed to Ending Child Hunger for Good
Proceeds from the Phil Gaimon Cookie Fondo will go to support No Kid Hungry, which is a nationwide campaign run by the non-profit organization Share Our Strength. Since 1984, Share Our Strength has been on a mission to end hunger and poverty in the United States, as well as internationally. In addition to No Kid Hungry, Share Our Strength has spearheaded various community wealth-building programs, disaster relief efforts, international grant programs, and even cooking programs for families in poverty.
Ready to Take Action Through Cycling
At Bike Legal, our attorneys primarily serve injured cyclists throughout the Southern California region. Driven by a strong sense of community and a desire to help those who need it most, we fight hard on behalf of those who have been seriously hurt in a bicycle accident. Because of our community-oriented approach, we are excited for the chance to sponsor the Phil Gaimon Cookie Fondo this year, and contribute to the amazing mission of No Kid Hungry.
We’ll see you at the event on October 26th! Call 877-BikeLegal for information about how you can get involved.
